The police in Ekiti State have arraigned a 37-year-old man, Ajayi Temitope, before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrate Court for allegedly sealing a gas cylinder.

The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that on March 23 at about 8am at Ado-Ekiti, the defendants allegedly have in his possession one gas cylinder valued at N200,000 and reasonably suspected to have been stolen.

Inspector Oriyomi said the offence was punishable under Section 345 of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State, 2021.

Counsel to the defendant, Barrister Gbenga Ariyibi, sought for his bail, the request Chief Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun, granted in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till April 22 for hearing.
