The police in Ekiti State have arraigned a man, Joseph Sunday (25), in a magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over alleged theft of yam seeds and cutlery.

The prosecutor, Inspector Olubu Apata, told the court that suspect, in April, at Ilokun Estate, in Ado-Ekiti, conspired with two others (at large) to steal two bags of yam seedlings valued at N400,000; cutlery valued at N13,500; property of one Mrs Ojumoola Ademola.

Counsel to the defendant, Barrister Yinka Adelusi, urged the court to grant his client bail. The Magistrate, Mr A. O. Owolusi, granted him bail in the sum of N450,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to August 23.
