The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned a 25-year-old man, Hassan Abubakar, before an Ado-Ekiti magistrates’ court over alleged theft of a motorcycle.
The prosecutor, Inspector Osuolale Yomi, told the court that the defendant and one other person at large on April 21, at about 8pm on Okebola Street, Ado-Ekiti, stole a Bajaj motorcycle with Reg No: TUN 511 VC, valued at N600,000 belonging to one Anex Jemilu.
He urged the court to adjourn the case to enable him to study the file and assemble his witnesses.
Counsel to the defendant, Mr Olayinka Adelusi, urged the court to grant the defendant bail.

The Magistrate, Mrs Olubunmi Bamidele, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to June 13.
