A 25-year-old man simply identified as Emmanuel has been reportedly clubbed to death while engaging in a street fight with two men in the Victoria Island area of Lagos State.
The deceased had engaged one Paul Digha, (33) and Sunday Okukoya in a heated argument which later degenerated into a free for all fight between the three of them.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident, said both Paul and Sunday have been arrested.
Hundeyin said the incident occurred at the weekend at Harbour Point Off, Wilmer Road Victoria.
He said Emmanuel, who sustained severe injuries during the brawl, was rushed to the Lagos Island Hospital, where he was confirmed dead by the doctors on duty.
He added that, “The two suspects, Paul and Sunday have been arrested and they will be charged for murder. The case has been transferred to the homicide unit of the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID), Yaba.”
