Man docked over alleged assault
A 34-year-old man, Mr Moses Timothy, was yesterday arraigned before an Ikeja magistrate court, Lagos, for allegedly beating up a man, Mr Caleb Adebambo. A 34-year-old man, Mr Moses Timothy, was yesterday arraigned before an Ikeja magistrate court, Lagos, for allegedly beating up a man, Mr Caleb Adebambo.
Timothy is facing a two-count charge of assault and grievous harm.
The police prosecutor, Chief Superintendent Akeem Raji, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on November 5, 2014 at No 6, Fagba Street, Iju, Lagos.
During cross-examination yesterday, the defendant denied attacking Caleb, who is the complainant, with an iron chair and causing the loss of his left eye.
The magistrate, Mrs O. A. Layinka, adjourned the case till March 9, 2020.
