A man has escaped with his friend’s motorcycle after the friend reportedly dozed off at a drinking joint in Paso community in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT.
A resident, Emmanuel Musa, said the incident happened around 9pm on Sunday, when the victim, identified simply as Zakka, went to a drinking joint.
He said the victim was drinking wine when the suspect came and joined him, and that the victim, after about 20 minutes, dozed off and the suspect removed the motorcycle’s key and zoomed off.
He further said, “Some people who were drinking at the joint saw them together until after about 20 minutes when the man reportedly took away the motorcycle and left.”
He added that, ‘’I suspect the man who escaped with the motorcycle must have poured some substances inside the drink which made the man sleep off.”
He said vigilantes were on the trail of the suspect.
The spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Adeh Josephine, was yet to react on the incident.
