A 56-year -old farmer, Baba Issac, has been hacked to death on his farm by suspected herders at Gurufufu village in Kwaku ward of Kuje Area Council of the FCT.
A resident of Gurufufu, who confirmed the incident when our reporter visited the community on Sunday, said the incident happened on Friday.
He said late Isaac went to the farm on Friday, alongside two of his children in order to clear some portions of the farmland when he met some herders with their cows eating his cassava leaves.
He said the farmer and his children got angry and one of the sons angrily hit one of the cows with cutlass.
He said the incident degenerated into a serious disagreement between the farmer and the herders, adding that one of the herders pulled out a cutlass and stabbed the farmer on the head.
