The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested one Jimoh Abdulraman, who brutally assaulted his wife, one Mrs. Akintunde B. Taiwo, at Nova area in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Sunday Abutu, said Jimoh was arrested on February 15 after watching the viral video of the victim.

Abutu said the state Commissioner of Police, Joseph Eribo, directed the DPO, Oke-Ila to immediately identify the culprit, arrest him and commence a thorough investigation.

According to him, the operatives from Oke-Ila division swung into action and arrested the suspect, adding that the case has been transferred to the Gender Based Violence (GBV) Unit for discreet investigation.
