A Shari’a Court No. 1, located at Kofar Kudu in the Municipality, has ordered the remand of Najib Aminu of Kwanar Dala Quarters for allegedly assaulting his father’s wife, Maryam Aminu, and inflicting serious injuries on her.
The prosecuting counsel, Barrister Aliya Aminu Yargaya, told the court that Najib was charged with using excessive force and causing grievous bodily harm. Najib admitted to using excessive force but pleaded not guilty to the charge of inflicting serious injuries, which prompted the court to enter a partial plea.
In his ruling, the Presiding Khadi, Shamsuddeen Ado Abdullahi Unguwar Gini, ordered Najib’s remand in custody until September 15, 2025.

He also directed the prosecution to present witnesses to support the charge that the accused had denied.
