The suspect, Halifa Auwal, allegedly beaten to a pulp, the wife of his neighbour, Jamilu Abubakar Doka, after a disagreement, inflicting serious injuries to her face and other parts of her body.
The judge, Khadi Alhaji Jibrin Danzaki, ordered his remand in a custodial facility till May 20.
