Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned a 40-year-old man, Sola Ojo, at the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over an alleged tampering with economic trees on a land subject to a civil suit atthe statehigh court.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendant and others at large, sometime in April, 2025, in Omuo-Ekiti, did conduct themselves in a manner likely to cause the breach of peace.
Inspector Oriyomi said the offence committed is punishable under Section 181(d) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.
Counsel to the defendant, Barrister J. O. Olajide, sought for his bail, which the Chief Magistrate, Mr. Abayomi Adeosun, granted in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till June 17, for hearing.
