The police in Ekiti State have arraigned 22-year-old Kabiru Musa before an Ado-Ekiti Magistrate’s Court over alleged theft.
The prosecutor, Inspector Olubu Apata, told the court that on February 20, 2026, at about 12 pm in Ado-Ekiti, the defendant stole a Tecno phone valued at N35,000, property of one Owolawi Adekunle.
Inspector Apata said the offence is punishable under Section 302(1)(a) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.
Counsel to the defendant, Barrister O.G. Abiola, urged the court to admit his client to bail, assuring the court that the defendant would not jump bail.
The Magistrate, Ajibade P.T., granted the defendant bail in the sum of N5,000 with one surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned until March 30, for hearing.
