A man, Olamide Jamiu Adewale, has been arraigned before a Chief Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos State, over theft of bolts and nuts from a church in Lagos.
The accused was said to have stolen the items from the premises of a prominent Pentecostal church in the Oregun area of the state.
City & Crimegathered that the accused allegedly sneaked into the church on October 14, 2024, around 6am, but was caught by security men attached to the church.
It was further gathered that, while other members of the gang fled, Olamide was arrested and handed over to officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, who arraigned him on behalf of the Attorney-General of Lagos State.

He was charged with a two-count charge of stealing and felony which contravene sections 411 and 280(1) of the criminal laws of Lagos State, 2015.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to both charges.
The prosecutor, Akeem Raji, urged the court to give a date for hearing and the presiding magistrate, Mr L. A. Owolabi, granted him bail with a surety, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment.
