A 22-year-old man has been remanded in prison custody by a Gombe State Chief Magistrate’s court for allegedly raping his neighbour’s daughter.
The accused, Anas Muhammed, a resident of Bolari Quarters in Gombe metropolis was alleged to have lured the 10-year-old girl into his room several times.
Court documents said that between September and October 2017, he lured her into the room and had carnal knowledge of her.
The accused person pleaded guilty to the one-count charge levelled against him.
Inspector Juwara, thereafter, applied for an adjournment to enable police complete investigation.
The presiding judge, Chief Magistrate Japhet Maida, adjourned the case to November 15 and ordered the accused to be remanded in prison custody.
