A High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State, has sentenced a fraudster, Sylvester Promise Ehidamen (27) to two months in correctional centre for involving in a fraud.
He was, however, given an option of N300,000 fine.
He was arraigned on a one-count charge by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
The prosecuting counsel, K Y Bello, told the court that the convict in February,2025 did retain the sum of N83,144, 40 and N167, 984.19 in his bank account knowing that same represent proceeds of his cybercrimes.

Justice Williams Azeigbemhe sentenced him to three months in prison with a fine option of N300,000.
The court ordered the convict to forfeit the proceeds of the crime to the federal government.
