An Area Court in Jos, on Tuesday, sentenced one Abdulraham Dahiru, to three months imprisonment for stealing half a head of a cow meat valued at N 70,000.
The judge, Shawomi Bokkos, sentenced the convict after he pleaded guilty to the offence.
The judge, however, gave the convict an option of N 20, 000 fine.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Ijuptil Daniel, told the court that the case was reported at the A Division Police Station on March 18, by Ms Mercy Ademu. Daniel said that the complainant reported that the now convict trespassed into her shop at West of Mines and stole half a head of cow meat valued at N 70,000.

The prosecutor said that during the police investigation, the accused confessed to having committed the offence.
He said the offence contravened the Plateau State Penal Code law of Northern Nigeria. (NAN)
