A Shari’a Court l sitting in Magajin Gari, Kaduna, on Thursday sentenced a man, Sama’ila Iliyasu, to three months imprisonment for swindling his business partner.

The judge, Nuhu Falalu, sentenced Iliyasu without an option of fine after he pleaded guilty to cheating and breach of trust.

He ordered the convict to pay N360,000 to the complainant, Amina Usman as compensation.

Earlier, Amina, who resides at Hayin Banki area said she gave the convict a motorcycle worth N444,000 with an agreement for him to pay in instalments as hire purchase but he only paid N84,000, claiming that the motorcycle was seized by KASTLEA for violating the ban on Okada riders by the state government.
