A twenty-seven-year-old man, simply identified as Salisu, was stabbed to death in a fight in Yangoji village, Kwali Area Council, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
A resident of the area, Musa Abdullahi, said the incident happened around 9:23 pm on Tuesday, at a Hausa drama house close to Alheri Lepers Special village.
He said the deceased and another unidentified person were involved in a brawl in the house.
He said the deceased fled the scene but was traced down to Yangoji central mosque where he was stabbed to death.
“In fact, it was this morning that the corpse of the young man with cuts all over his body was found lying by the roadside close to the electric transformer at the Yangoji central mosque,” he said.
According to him, the police were alerted and they came to pick the corpse to deposit it at the general hospital mortuary in the area.
When contacted, the spokesperson of the FCT police command, ASP Maryam Yusuf, confirmed the incident, saying investigation was still ongoing.
