A man identified, Iliya Iliya alias Tractor and his friends were alleged to have organised a mob against his younger brother, Alkasim alias Popping, for allegedly stealing his N4,500 in Nasarawa State.

A source, who said the victim was Tractor’s half-brother, said the incident happened in Tudun Adabu area of Obi Local Government Area.

He said Tractor and his friends confronted Popping over the missing money and that they tied him with a rope, put a tyre on him, poured petrol and set him on fire.

The police spokesperson in the state, ASP Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the incident, saying “The suspect, Iliya Tractor has been arrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID. Investigation is ongoing after which the suspect will be arraigned in court.”

Reacting to the incident, the Chairman of Obi LGA, Muhammad Oyigye Iyamoga, called on his people to always abide by the law and avoid acts that would jeopardise peace in the area and beyond.
