He was reportedly nabbed while trying to sell the motorcycle on Friday.
The operational commander of the vigilantes, Yahaya Madaki, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect fled with the bike from Kuje, where he usually operated with a colleague, on a rotational basis.
He said, ‘’He breached the trust and decided to sell the bike without the knowledge of his colleague, Madaki, who happens to be the owner of the bike.

“The man he approached to sell the bike to, demanded he meet the chairman of the commercial motorcyclists in Zuba town, since he told him that the bike had no documents.
The vigilantes’ leader said, ‘’The chairman agreed to buy the motorcycle at the sum of N400,000 but asked him to follow him to a location where the money would be paid, and in the process brought him to our office.
‘’He eventually confessed that he stole the bike from his co-worker during interrogation. We later handed him over to the police where the bike owner was contacted and he came to retrieve the bike.’’
