A Katsina state magistrate court has remanded one Sani Dahiru, 22, in prison custody after he admitted to have slept with a 10-yr old boy (names withheld).

Kano Chronicle gathered that Dahiru, a resident of Unguwar Tofa quarters in Bakori town, committed the offence when he met the victim in his farm, stalking firewood.

He was apprehended by a passerby and handed over to police at the outskirt of Bakori town where the farm was located. 

The Police Prosecuting Officer, Inspector Kabir Mohammed told the court that “Dahiru whipped the boy and forced him to lie-down before he finally had canal knowledge with him. The suspect has since confessed to have committed the offence which is contrary to section 284 of Penal Code Law” he said.

The Presiding Judge, Magistrate Fadila Dikko, ordered for the remand of the accused and fixed 27th February, 2017 for further deliberation.
