An Ikeja magistrates’ court on Thursday ordered the remand of a 35-year-old commercial motorcyclist, Monday Endurance, at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre for impregnating his 13-year-old step-daughter.
The Magistrate, Mrs B. O. Osunsanmi, after ordering that his case file should be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for advice, adjourned to October 19.
Earlier, the prosecutor, ASP Raji Akeem, told the court that the offence was committed between March and August at the defendant’s residence, No 7, Apple Junction, Igboeseyore, Snake Island, Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos.
Akeem said that the girl’s mother, Gift, noticed that her daughter was pregnant and that on enquiry, she confided in her that it was her step-father that impregnated her.
