A magistrates’ court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State, has ordered the remand of one Alhaji Haruna Adu for hacking a man to death over a N100 loaf of bread.
The prosecutor, Inspector Innocent Owoola, told the court that the suspect bought bread worth N100 from the victim which led to a misunderstanding over the issue of payment.
He said, “He was matcheted severally until he died.”
In his ruling, the Magistrate, Abdulganiyu Ajia, ordered the remand of the suspect and adjourned the case to June 26, 2022.
