A Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti has ordered the remand of one Ogbaji Ransome (37) at the Correctional Centre in Ado-Ekiti over an alleged murder.
The prosecutor, Inspector Bamidele Olasunkanmi, informed the court that there was probable cause to order the remand of the defendant for 30 days.
Inspector Olasunkanmi said the suspect committed an offence of murder, contrary to and punishable under Section 234 of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State, 2021.
The prosecutor urged the court to grant the application on the premise that it would enable the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) to issue legal advice.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. H. E. Anoma, ordered the remand of the defendant until November 13, 2025, pending legal advice.
