An Ikeja magistrates’ court on Wednesday ordered the remand of a man, Oluwaseun Ayeni, in prison for allegedly abducting his 14-year-old girlfriend.

Earlier, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, the prosecutor, told the court that the defendant on January 3, at Mosholashi Close, Abule-Alagbado, Lagos State, “Took her to his house on Egbado Street, Dalemo Alakuko, Lagos, without the consent of her parents.”

Ajayi noted that the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 277(a and b) and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Magistrate, E Kubeinje, who ordered the remand, adjourned the case to February 28. (NAN)
