A magistrates’ court in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, has ordered the remand of a 34-year-old man, Kehinde Akeem, for raping a 13-year-old girl.

The prosecutor, Inspector Sodiq Adeniyi, asked the court to remand the defendant at the Nigerian Correctional Centre, Ado-Ekiti, to allow them complete investigation and forward the duplicate file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).

The Magistrate, Dolamu Kay-Williams, ordered the remanded of the suspect pending issuance of legal advice by the DPP and adjourned to September 29.
