A 27-year-old man, Emeka Cyril, who allegedly stole an eight-month-old baby from a shop, was on Monday remanded in prison.
Chief Magistrate Tajudeen Elias, while remanding the accused, adjourned the case until Feb. 7.
Earlier, Sgt. Kehinde Omisakin, the police prosecutor, told the court that Cyril hid himself at the back of the shop of the mother of the baby, and had stealthily stretched his hands through an open space to steal the boy when he was apprehended.
Cyril however pleaded not guilty. (NAN)
