Man stabbed to death in Osogbo after Osun festival

A man, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, has been stabbed to death in his house at Abaku, Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

The corpse of the man was found in the house by his neighbours, who reported the incident to the police.

A source told Daily Trust that the deceased had attended the Osun Osogbo festival last week and might have been involved in a fight that broke out among touts, in which a man known as Olota Faasi was killed.

Meanwhile, the state governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, has appealed to traditional worshipers in the state to be peaceful and law-abiding during and after the Isese festival.

Oyetola has declared today as a public holiday to mark this year traditional worshippers’ day, tagged ‘Isese Day’ in the state.
