A man, Siyaka Mohammed Obe, has reportedly stabbed to death his girlfriend, Aisha Aminu, over a suspected irreconcilable issue in Obehira in Okene LGA of Kogi State

Our correspondent gathered that the 30-year-old Aisha, said to be physically challenged, was stabbed severally in the early hours of Wednesday morning by her boyfriend in her shop.

A witness told City & Crime that the 44-year-old Obe visited Aisha’s shop a few minutes before 6am on Wednesday, dragged her out from the inner chamber and stabbed her repeatedly with a knife until she relapsed into a coma and died shortly before help could come.

While the real cause of the issue was yet to be established, residents alleged that Aisha and Obe had a pending dispute before vigilantes in the community.

While Aisha’s body was deposited at the Okene General Hospital, her assailant has been declared wanted by the police.

The command’s spokesman, SP Williams Ayah, who confirmed the incident, said the manhunt for the suspect was being intensified.
