A 50-year-old man in Ibadan is in prison custody on suspicion that he caused the death of his concubine.

Fatai Busari will remain in Agodi prison pending legal advice from the directorate of public prosecution, a magistrate court ordered on Tuesday.

But the case will be up for mention on November 30.

Prosecutors told the court how Busari allegedly caused the death of a 48-year-old woman, Sadiat Adejuwon, during sex.

He is said to have taken herbal concoction to boost his libido before sexual intercourse, the court heard.

“It was afterwards that he realised that something was amiss when he noticed blood flowing out of her private part. She later died at the spot and he raised alarm,’’ the prosecutor said.

Both are said to have been dating and worked as street cleaners.
