Coach of Mo Heat basketball team, Adeka Daudu, has said his dominant team is not going to underrate any opponent in the ongoing Mark ‘D’ Ball men’s ‘Elite’ 8 basketball championship in Abuja.

After the 75-59 thumping of FCT HardRockers on Wednesday, Mo Heat maintained their unbeaten run yesterday as they out-dunked Delta Force 66-46 to move closer to the title.

Speaking after yesterday’s victory, Daudu said he won’t be carried away by the two convincing victories.

“Our next game is against Nigeria Customs on Friday (today) and they are a better side deep in experience but we will map out a strategy that will see us overwhelm them,” he said.

Daudu explained that the Delta Force team they defeated was equally a good side but they matched them grit for grit only to slow down when the gap was too much to close.

He said Mo Heat are going to take each match as it comes as they march towards the semi-finals.

The versatile coach also attributed his team’s outstanding performances to hard work on the part of the players, the management and coaching crew.

Meanwhile, HotCoal Ballers, who caused a major upset on Wednesday when they defeated Kano Pillars 63-57 lost narrowly by 54-56 to Kwara Falcons in an entertaining contest at the Indoor Sports Hall of the MKO Abiola national stadium.
