Katsina State, Governor Aminu Bello Masari
The Chief of Staff to Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State, Alhaji Muntari Lawal, has denied having the ambition to contest any political office in the 2023 general elections.
He also disowned posters flooding the major streets of Katsina indicating that he would contest the Katsina Central Senatorial poll.
Addressing newsmen at the weekend, Lawal described the appearance of his posters on Katsina streets as strange and disturbing.
“This must be the handiwork of those who are bent on sowing the seed of discord among APC faithful in Katsina, and it is completely unacceptable.
“I have never discussed with anyone that I will contest for any political position, not to even talk of contesting for the office of the Senator of Katsina Central.
“Just imagine, even if I am contesting, how can I contest the position which my in-law is occupying? He is not only my in-law but also my neighbour,” he stated.
