Masquerades in Shikal village of Langtang South LGA of Plateau State Sunday stormed a church and in the process flogged worshipers, including the presiding pastor.
Apart from flogging the worshipers and the pastor and disrupting the service, the masquerades also destroyed the church’s musical equipment.

A source who noted that the motive of the masquerades was yet to be determined, said the church members were awe-stricken but that they did not take any counter-offensive action.
He further said the incident did not trigger any form of apprehension in the village, but that the leaders were still trying to figure out the reason for the attack and get to the bottom of the matter.
There was no response from the police in the state on the incident.
