Professor of Mathematics and Dean of Students Affairs, University of Benin (Uniben), Francis Osagiede, has said progress in the field of mathematics will stimulate national growth.
He made the remark during the 171st Inaugural Lecture of the institution recently. He said mathematics contributes to national development by being a powerful tool in providing problem solving techniques, thinking skills and perseverance in solving unfamiliar problem as well as growth of science and technology.
