MAUTECH appoints first female Registrar, Librarian

The Governing Council of Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH), Yola has approved the appointment of Halima Muhammad Bala as substantive registrar of the University with effect from 5th September, 2018.
The appointment followed recommendation of the Selection Board and the appointee will serve a single tenure of five year which may be renewed by the council.
Since she joined the university in 1998 as administration officer, Halima, a graduate of English Language from University of Maiduguri has risen through the ranks and headed several departments and units. She was the secretary Centre for Distance Learning of the university and until her appointment, she was Deputy Registrar and Head of Information and Publicity. She is the first female registrar in the university.
The council also approved the appointment of Dr Tukur Abba as substantive university Librarian also with effect from 5th September,2018.
Abba who started with the university as Assistant Librarian rose to become Acting University Librarian, a position he occupied between 2013-2018. He obtained his doctorate degree from University of Maiduguri.
