Mavin Records recently marked 12 years as one of Africa’s most influential entertainment companies. Founded in 2012 by Don Jazzy, the label quickly became a symbol of creativity and talent in the African music industry. Following the closure of Mo Hits Records, Don Jazzy’s ambitious vision for Afrobeat took shape, propelling Mavin Records to remarkable success.

The label has consistently set trends, establishing itself as a launchpad for early 2010s stars like Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal, and Korede Bello.

Today, Mavin Records continues to foster new talent, with artists such as Rema, Ayra Starr, Ladipoe, Johnny Drille, Crayon, Bayanni, Boy Spyce, Lifesize Teddy, and DJ Big N, among its ranks.

Label founder Don Jazzy said in an online post, “It is a landmark year in so many ways. We are grateful to everyone who has been instrumental in our success in the past 12 years. We are building a legacy together – for Nigeria, for Africa, and the global music community.”
