Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) House of Representatives aspirant for AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency ticket, Obinna Simon popularly known as MC Tagwaye has withdrawn from the race.
Obinna, who posted on his verified social media page said consequently, he will not participate in the forthcoming party primaries.
He said, “This decision was reached after a heartfelt request and intervention from His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi, whom I hold in high esteem and respect. It also followed a careful deliberation, consultation with my supporters, political associates, and critical stakeholders within our great party.”
He added that as a loyal party member and believer in the collective interest of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), he understands that certain decisions and sacrifices are necessary for the unity, stability, and overall success of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“ I sincerely appreciate the immense love, encouragement, and unwavering support shown to me throughout this journey by supporters across the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency and beyond. Your commitment and belief in our shared vision remain deeply valued.
“I therefore urge all my supporters and political associates to remain peaceful, committed, and faithful to the ideals and leadership of the party. I encourage everyone to continue participating actively in party activities and mobilization efforts toward ensuring victory for the NDC at all levels in the forthcoming 2027 general elections,” he stated.
