The National Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE), Engr. Robinson  Ejilah, has expressed the desire of the body to partner with Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company Limited (WRPC) on professional activities.

Speaking during a recent courtesy call on the WRPC’s Managing Director, Engr. Muhammadu Abali, at the facility in Ekpan-Warri, Delta State, Ejilah also called for full participation in the NIMechE International Conference holding in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State in October 2019.

He appraised the successes recorded by WRPC Ltd and the commitment of Nigerian mechanical engineers in the oil and gas industry.

The national chairman lauded the WRPC management for keeping the plant running as the only functional facility of the three in the country.

Responding, the WRPC boss, Engr. Abali said in spite of daunting challenges of unsecured pipelines and illegal bunkering, the refinery was working out ambitious strategies to achieve maximum capacity utilization.

Engr. Abali, assured NIMechE that his doors will be opened at all times for more collaborations and partnership in any manner that will move the engineering profession and WRPC forward.
