Media entrepreneur and Chairperson of Bodex Group International, Florence Whenume Hungbo, popularly known as Bodex Hungbo, has earned a second degree from the University of Lagos (UNILAG), underscoring her belief that education remains central to credibility and sustainable influence in the media space.

Hungbo graduated with a degree in Mass Communication at the institution’s 56th Convocation Ceremony recently held at the Akoka campus, joining thousands of graduands who were celebrated during the event.

The achievement marks a significant academic milestone for the media professional, who already holds a first degree in Industrial Chemistry.

Speaking on the accomplishment, Hungbo described her return to the classroom as a deliberate and purpose-driven decision aimed at aligning her education with her professional practice.

“My first degree was in Industrial Chemistry. Having a second degree that aligns with what I do is intentional. I want my name attached to every positive success,” she said.

Before returning to university, Hungbo had built a successful career in media consulting, digital communications, reputation management and broadcasting. Despite her practical experience, she said formal training in Mass Communication was necessary to deepen her understanding of the media industry and enhance professional credibility.

“I love media, but I didn’t study media in school,” she said. “I had the experience, but I wanted my education to match my practice.”
