Media tasked on digital broadcasting

Media organisations in the country have been urged to be ready for the transition from analogue to digital broadcasting by acquiring digital equipment.
The Managing Director, Audvideo, Onochie Amasiani made this known in Abuja at the weekend during a workshop organised by the organisation for media personnel on how to handle the new Panasonic 4K Professional Camera recently introduced into the Nigerian market.
While explaining the need for media houses to be ready for the digital switch-over he said: “The first phase is that media houses are all digital. You cannot move to digital with analogue production tools and equipment.”
He said though the country is not fully ready for the transition, the 4K Professional Camera and other gadgets introduced  by the organisation would assist media houses in meeting up with the trend in other countries.
