After a thorough review of our customers and their business relationship with Media Trust Group by the Executive Management Committee of the company and the Board of Directors, we are glad to present the customer loyalty award for the public sector to the Borno State Government under the leadership of his Excellency, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum.
Borno State Government is nominated under the public sector for this category for its Lifetime Value (LTV) to Media Trust. Lifetime Value refers to the total amount of money the state has spent on our brand, right from the first to the latest business relationship between us.
- Repeated engagement and keying into our various products for over seven years.
- Borno State being the topmost revenue source for Media Trust. The state, under the leadership of His Excellency Governor Zulum, has helped our company grow in revenue, as it has been able to be the highest revenue source for us in the public sector within our financial year 2022/2023.
As a recipient of this award, Media Trust is proud to be associated with the people of Borno State through the governor par excellence. It is not by chance that Borno State, a place that has in the last few years been ravaged by insecurity, is today receiving this award under Governor Zulum, who has placed his name in the history of the state as an exceptional and outstanding state chief executive.
Taking office in the midst of insecurity with a myriad of humanitarian crises, Zulum seized on the meagre state resources to respond to numerous challenges in education, agriculture, healthcare, and most famously, the reconstruction and resettlement of displaced persons.
Zulum continued his predecessor’s vision of building massive, mega-schools— well-equipped primary and secondary schools that look like universities.
“The Civilian General,” as he is fondly called, Zulum transverses the width and breadth of the landmass of the areas battered by Boko Haram terrorists to assess the security situation, the viability of livelihoods, and the distribution of food and non-food items to internally displaced persons in camps.
The survival and growth of organisations largely depend on the loyalty and appreciation of their services to customers over time.
Your Excellency, we are not unaware of your unwavering support and contributions to the private sector in Borno, with the target of promoting more and better jobs for the people in the state. On this central element, you had, to a considerable extent, moved the state beyond the need for assistance in the media profession by providing fertile ground for many media houses to establish regional offices.
For us, Media Trust Group, you did not give us any reason to doubt your loyalty and support, and we hold you very dear in our heart.
Media Trust Group has set aside today to appreciate and honour a distinguished customer that shows unequal loyalty in patronage over time.
This distinguished customer has not only supported the flagship of this noble organisation, Daily Trust, but also the upcoming TrustTV, which now reckons on a competitive stage with the foremost broadcast networks in Nigeria.
It is therefore, in consideration of the aforementioned, that we are awarding Borno State, under your leadership, the Media Trust Customer Loyalty Award 2023 for the Public Sector.
