Media practitioners in Nigeria have been urged to set media agenda on salient issues around women’s health as part of efforts to address several issues bedeviling the health sector in the country. 

This was disclosed by the Technical Advisor Center for Communication and Social Impact (CCSI), Mr Oluyemi Abodunrin, during a one- day training organized by CCSI for Kano-based journalists on media advocacy for women’s health with support from the Pathfinder International.

Delivering lecture on the role of the media in improving women’s health, the Technical Advisor said journalists needed to always explore available data in their reportage.
