The School Mission secretary, Harry Ogodo, said the visit was part of the association‘s mission to reach out to the needy.
Ogodo charged the inmates not to feel condemned because of their predicaments, but make good use of their stay by improving their good behaviours.
“Being free is a thing of the mind and not necessarily means being out of prison,” he said.
Delivering a talk titled ‘Free at Last’, Aisosa Guobadia, a 600 level student told the inmates to have a personal relationship with Christ in order to be assured of a befitting place when they die.
The students also delivered dental and health talks to the inmates, advising them to wash their teeth daily and keep their environment neat in order to reduce the tendency of falling ill.
The students, numbering over 70, were conducted round the facilities.
The Director of Welfare Services at the prison, Mr. J. I Osemwengie, commended the students for the visit and encouraged them to pay attention to their studies.
