The University of Benin Medical Students Association (UBEMSA) has elected leaders for the 2016/2017 Academic session. They emerged after an election held on Tuesday at the medical students’ hostel.
Oghi Oghenefejiro emerged as president, with Oghiri Oghenekovie and Edigberhi Emmanuel as Vice President and Secretary General respectively.
Others were Aziken Michael, Chairman, Committee on Medical Outreaches and Public Health (COMPOH); David Obele, Assistant Secretary General; Marvis Omoregie, Director of Finance; Samuel Olatigbe, Public Relations Officer; Aliu Kamilu, Director of Socials; Imana Eragbai,  Director of Welfare; Tobechukwu Alvin-Orakwe, Director of Sports; Ojumah Fidelis as Editor-in-Chief and Iyekekpolor Aiyevbosa, Speaker of the UBEMSA Congress.
Inaugurating the new executives, Dean School of Medicine, Professor Moses Mommoh, commended the students for their display of maturity during the elections. He urged the new leaders to handle their duties well and also concentrate in their studies.
