The #BigBrotherNaija 2017 kicked off tonight with twelve housemates battling for the winning prize of N25 million as announced earlier by the organiser, MultiChoice Nigeria with former housemate and lawyer-turned-media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu as the host.
The housemates numbering twelve came from different cities across Nigeria and would be staying at the Big Brother House for the next eleven weeks to entertain TV viewers across Africa and beyond.
At the launch show today, Obi-Uchendu ushered the housemates into the #BigBrotherNaija house, starting with Uriel and ending with Efe.
He will also be announcing the evictees week after week till the show ends.
Here are the housemates that will make you stay glued to your TV screen all through the 11 weeks:
URIEL: She was the first housemate to be ushered into the Big Brother Naija house. She earns a living from making wigs and has four brothers. When asked to talk about herself, she said she’s spontaneous and passionate with a nurturing nature too! Though she loves to cook, she hates cleaning up after cooking, and also thinking of herself as a master of organised mess!
KEMEN: He’s the second housemate welcomed into the Big Brother Naija house. A ship manager turned fitness entrepreneur, Kemen is based in Port Harcourt though he’s from Akwa Ibom state. “I’m focused. I’m fast. And I’m strong” He adds, “My best physical attribute is my abs…fit for a God.” He said about himself.
COCOICE: She’s a rapper who claimed she hasn’t come into the house to find love, though with a caveat: “I’m not set out to date anyone from the house but you can’t say no to love,” she said. She’s currently single and is focusing on advancing her singing career.
BALLY: He’s a Statistician from Kaduna. Coming from a family of five children, he has a vision to start his own digital content creation company soon. He says he’s single but in a relationship.
MARVIS: Meet marvellous Marvis, the fifth housemate in the #BigBrotherNaija House. The 11th child out of her parents’ 21 children, her dad has five wives. A good talkative if you say, she said she’s from Onne area of Eleme, Port-Harcourt in Rivers state. Currently, she’s single and wouldn’t mind to mingle in the House.
THIN TALL TONY: Also known as “whipped cream”, ThinTallTony is a choreographer. He once performed at the opening of #BBNaija’s first edition. He’s currently into acting, writing and poetry.
GIFTY: This gorgeous lady who’s waiting to dazzle the #BigBrotherNaija viewers is currently an actress & model. She has acted in a few Nollywood films.
SOMA: He’s a singer, songwriter, producer and graphic artist. A tech-savvy personality, Soma said he’s currently in a relationship and has loads of drama to unwrap for the viewing pleasure of #BBNaija audience across Africa.
BISOLA: A mother of a 7-year old daughter, Bisola is an actress and also a singer. She promises to bring lots of fun to the House.
MIYONSE: This 24-years old Miyonse is a Chef. According to him, his name ‘Miyonse’ means ‘know your God’. He’s currently in a relationship, adding that he has the permission of his girlfriend to “play the game” and win the prize.
TBOSS: This 22-year old Naija babe from Edo State says she has seven piercings and seven tattoos. Her sole aim she said is to win the N25million prize.
EFE: The last housemate to be ushered into the #BBNaija House is the 23-years old Warri boy named Efe. This upcoming artist said he grew up in northern Nigeria’s city of Jos in Plateau state. This hilarious Efe is one character #BBNaija viewers should watch out for in the weeks ahead, especially for comic relief.
