Supreme safety out on the road is offered by Active Brake Assist 3 according to Daimler. This further improved system that is available as an option is now able to react to stationary obstacles as well as moving objects, and prevent collisions or at least reduce the severity of the accident by triggering autonomous full emergency braking.  The automatic activation of the hazard warning lights in response to emergency braking increases safety for vehicles following behind too. In this way accidents can be prevented, or the severity of an accident greatly reduced.

A live demonstration of 40 tonne trailer revealed at 60km the truck could be hurled to a stop.  Beyond that speed impact could only be reduced.

The ADA 3 will be introduced into MB trucks most especially the Actros and Antos. This adds to least of thing investor will be paying close attention to.
