Mercenaries Behind Kwari Market Protest- Kulkul

Chairman Kantin-kwari Trades Association, Alhaji Liti Kulkul has said that mercenaries were responsible for the peaceful protest staged against the construction of access roads in the market by  some traders who claimed to be representing the interest of traders to be directly affected by the construction work.
Addressing a press conference at the NUJ Press Centre in Kano yesterday, Kulkul said members of the association were solidly behind any move by governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to make the business environment conducive for traders in the market to conduct their legitimate business.
According to him,  the relationship between members of the association and by extension all amalgamated traders unions in the state was cordial since the inception of the Ganduje administration adding that for its good intention the business community have no axe to grind with it.
He said the construction of the planned access roads in the market was never conceived to victimize anyone or put  many of them out of business stressing that building a befitting infrastructure would only give them a formidable hand of support to forge ahead.
He pointed out that the construction of access roads in the market would add colour to the famous Kantin-Kwari market at the time the issue of modernization was receiving prominence affirming that as soon as the construction work is completed traders would be the ones to benefit most.
He called on those vehemently opposing the laudable move to see reason and extend a helping hand to the Ganduje administration was making effort to put Kano on a promising pedestal.
