Mile 12 Crisis: Sarkin Hausawa waves olive branch

The Sarkin Hausawa of Lagos State, Alhaji Aminu Yaro Dogara, has urged traders at the popular Mile 12 Market in Lagos to embrace peace and abide by the laws of the state.
 He gave the advice when he visited the market to sympathise with people who lost their relations and properties as a result of the crisis that rocked the market last week.
 Dogara, who was accompanied to the market by the Sarkin Fulani, Alhaji Muhammadu Bambado, also visited the Yoruba leaders in the area where they all expressed the need for peace to earnestly return to the area.
 In his address to the hundreds of the youth in the Mile 12 market, Alhaji Dogara urged them to avoid violence and be law abiding, as well as contribute immensely to the growth and development of the state.
The chairman of Mile 12 Market, Alhaji Haruna Muhammad, lamented the huge loss suffered by traders as a result of the crisis which also led to the closure of the market by the state government.
 The Iyaloja of Mile 12 Market, Alhaja Iyabo Ahmed, also pleaded with the state government to reopen the market in the interest of the traders who have no other means of livelihood.
