The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has called on Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State and chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) to resign from office over his comments on the minimum wage. 
JUSUN National President, comrade Marwan Mustapha Adamu who said   this  in a statement said the call became apt considering denial by Governors’ Yari colleagues who said they never said minimum wage cannot be paid over shortfall in  price of oil.
“We are calling on the chairman of Governor Forum (NGF) and Zamfara State Governor,  Abdulaziz Yari to urgently vacate his office for unilaterally saying governors cannot longer pay minimum wage. Many governors including Adams Oshiomhole, Ayo Fayose, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and a host of others have denied the statement, saying they are yet to take decision on minimum wage and that they didn’t say they cannot pay.”
Comrade Adamu  noted that it is  unfortunate for the  governor,  a former member of House Representatives, who  should know better that the N18,000 national minimum wage was a product of negotiation by tripartite and an act of National Assembly, which was later signed by the president.
According to the labour leader, the governor should rather be worried over chain of aides hired by governors and other frivolous spending in the name of security votes, rather than resulting to reducing workers salaries, who found it difficult to even survive on the N18,000 due to inflation. 
Comrade Marwan also urged President Muhammadu Buhari to call the governor to order for making such comment about mass sack when his party the APC is talking about job creation.
