The National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANTS) has cautioned its members nationwide against unnecessary price increases in view of the minimum wage increase.
Speaking at a training workshop for NANTS leadership on tracking the commitments of political actors to farmers’ manifesto and trade charter demands in Katsina, the National President, Ken Ukaoha, said it was immoral and unjustifiable and perhaps wicked to do such.
He said once a trader raises the price of his or her commodity, the negative circle would only be multiplying poverty.
